CUT SNAKE

Cut Snake is winning. It was winning at the Melbourne Fringe Festival and was winning (well, nominated anyway) at the Green Room Awards. Following a mass of five-star reviews in Melbourne, it turns out all the hype was spot on.

This frivolous yet heart-rending tale by Arthur Productions and writers Amelia Evans and Dan Giovannoni tells the story of three childhood friends. Bob, Kiki and Jumper may be growing up and growing apart, but they will always remain in each other’s hearts.

Sydneysiders can expect a bit of everything: puppetry, exceptional live music, physical theatre, magical realism, politically incorrect jokes, circus tricks and sequined budgy-smugglers in 80 minutes that fly by.

Until Mar 23, The Bondi Pavilion Theatre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bondi Beach, $25, 1300 241 167, rocksurfers.org
