Counting in the streets – volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed for the next City of Sydney Street Count of people sleeping rough on Tuesday morning 17 February.

Last August 354 people were counted sleeping rough across the Local Government Area. The question this time will be whether the numbers are much different given the warmer weather.

In the last count, 165 people volunteered. This time it is hoped 200 will step forward which will enable a wider count to include areas such as Glebe.

There will be a training session on 10 February between 5:30’7:00pm at Town Hall House, 456 Kent Street, Sydney. This training is not mandatory.
