City Recital Hall

When City Recital Hall opened in 1999, it became only the second purpose-built music venue in Sydney, with Sydney Opera House (opened in 1973) of course being the first.

The beautiful wood panelling in the auditorium is also functional, providing truly excellent acoustics as well as a tranquil ambience.

With seating for 1238, the City Recital Hall happily hosts a wide range of performances including contemporary vocal artists, soloist musicians, esoteric bands, and a classical program curated with presenting partners Australian Chamber Orchestra, Musica Viva Australia, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Pinchgut Opera and Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

City Recital Hall – dance night.

Every now and then, the CRH pulls out all stops — and all the seats — and hosts a dance night with international guest DJs, spectacular lighting shows and a general party vibe.
