For those people who believe that ballroom dancing can be stiff, overly formal and restrictive which seems more like a chore than an expression of music and connection, Burn the Floor is a dance show that should prove you wrong! You will be amazed and mesmerised by this tantalising, electrifying and sizzling hot new show as the Burn The Floor cast re-event Ballroom dancing.

This exciting live dance show has been performing globally to sell-out seasons since 1997, initially on Broadway in New York City followed by the West End in London. In the years since audiences in more than 130 countries have experienced the thrill of dance by this acclaimed troupe of performers.

In this new production ten award winning dancers from Italy, Australia, Germany, Russia, South Africa and the United Kingdom join forces with three vocalists headed by the incredibly captivating and highly recognised songstress Prinnie Stevens.

Stevens has been in constant demand in the entertainment world for over 20 years, quickly becoming a household name after appearing on the initial season of The Voice. Since then, her career has soared being the veteran of many popular musicals including, Rent, Thriller Live, The Bodyguard and Hair in London and New York, working with renowned performers Chaka Khan, Patti La Belle and John Legend amongst others.

Burn The Floor which runs for 80 minutes is a celebration of song and dance. These exceptional dancers highlight that classic dancing styles can inventively be re-imagined for a brand-new generation of audiences.

In the opening sequence, a couple of dancers sway across the stage demonstrating the elegance and refinement in a traditional style of ballroom dance to soothing waltz-like musical accompaniment.

Within minutes the stage explodes with energetic music, blinding colourful lighting and five couples in dazzling colourful costumes flaunting their high-energy, pulse-pounding and dynamic dancing styles to thunderous applause from the audience.

The three vocalists sing popular tunes from famous singers including Michael Hutchinson, John Farnham and Coldplay. Italian favourite Volare is invigorating and the highlight being their rendition of the highly emotional and timeless Hallelujah which has been covered by many singers over the years.

Song and dance fuse to deliver a remarkable show. Audiences will be toe-tapping to the songs they know so well while simultaneously marveling at the phenomenal talent of the dancers on stage.
