Bondi’s Best and Brightest Awards

Bondi’s Best and Brightest Awards

BY PETER McCALLUM
It was all glam and glitter in Club Bondi Junction’s auditorium when Bondi’s best and brightest in business got together for well earned self congratulation and mutual admiration last week.

Retailers were more relaxed than usual with owners and key staff in attendance, all grandly dressed for the occasion.

Waverley Mayor Ingrid Strewe welcomed the response of the business community to the Best and Brightest Business Awards in Bondi Junction and Charing Cross.
‘Our commercial centres are a focus for community life. They offer employment to local people, opportunities to do business, and places to meet and socialise,’ she said.

The council’s commitment to support the retail community has increased significantly in the last few years, the Mall in Bondi Junction and its activities being the most obvious example.
Mayor Strewe presented awards to the eight winners, joined by Liberal councillor Joy Clayton and Greens councillor Mora Main.
