AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT

AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT

At the Speed of Light is an appropriate title for an exhibition that harks back to the root of photography: light travelling at speed, the final result captured in pleasantly arranged particles on paper, rather than pixels on a screen. In a series of meticulous and beautiful travel shots, artist Tim Woodham seeks to create something lasting in an ephemeral world populated by social networking sites and armchair vacations. Artist talks will take place on June 4, covering how Woodham seeks out the soul of a place, and why the art of gelatin prints is not a dying one. (AB)
