Oh my god, oh my god you guys! Legally Blonde the Musical is finally here, and it actually exceeds expectations.

The cast is vocally strong and energetic, almost making you want to jump out of your seat and join in, and you will find it hard to resist chuckling and even laughing out loud at times. Lucy Durack shone in the lead Elle Woods however it is Cameron Daddo and Helen Dallimore who steal the show. From the moment Daddo first steps onto the stage he dominates his role, commanding attention as the ruthless Professor Callahan, while Dallimore surprises with both her vocal and acting ability as the flamboyant hairdresser Paulette.

Clearly no expense has been spared on the extravagant sets, complimented by well executed lighting that transform the scene into a pastiche of bright colours. Costumes are at times comically ridiculous and at other times tasteful.

While Legally Blonde the Musical shares its name with the popular 2001 film, it stands apart as a stage experience that should not be missed.
