Candlelight concerts in the city

Halloween lovers celebrate early with a bewitching candlelight concert at St Stephen’s Church, featuring music from the films of Tim Burton. It’s just one of a series of candlelit performances presented as Fever Original events during October and November.

Fever is a platform that operates in cities around the world, providing information on local events as well as booking and ticketing facility. Founded in 2012 in Madrid, Fever now has headquarters in Madrid, New York and London and is available in more than a hundred cities globally.

While it usually promotes events by other organisers, this time the entertainment platform is the one planning the candlelight concerts.

“Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations never before used for this purpose in Sydney,” it says on the Fever website, describing the atmosphere of the events.

Several performances have already taken place and guests expressed their enthusiasm on the website :

“Such a calm cosy beautiful experience. The classic sounds floating through the candlelight venue were amazing. A must do.”

“The show was absolutely amazing. I recommended it to all of my friends and family! I will definitely be attending another candlelight event!”

“A wonderful experience. Fantastic performance, great sound. We will be back for future performances.”

Future concerts in November include A Tribute to Jay Chou at Sydney Masonic Centre and at The Concourse Chatswood; A Tribute to Queen at Sydney Masonic Centre ; A Tribute to Adele at St Stephen’s Uniting Church.

For those who’d like a little starlight with their candles there are two open-air performances in The Calyx, Royal Botanical Gardens : Best of Hans Zimmer at The Calyx and Film Scores at The Calyx.

Several classical performances are also on offer including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Tchaikovsky’s ballets and the best of Chopin.
