4A ANIMATION PROJECT CALL-OUT

From the humble zoetrope to the galloping horse on rotoscope, the claggy stop-motion and classic hand-drawn cell animation of our childhoods  to today’s mindboggling 3D digital rendering, animation has come a long way. Its etymology remains the same – to ‘bring to life’ – and for 4A Gallery’s Cinema Alley program this year you have the opportunity to bring to life your own five-minute production and have it screened in front of 600 people. Both emerging and established creators are welcome – the only restriction is that it’s under five minutes and won’t freak out the littlies.
