X-FILES: I WANT TO BELEIVE

X-FILES: I WANT TO BELEIVE

X-Files: I Want to Believe takes the horror / sci-fi series back to its glory days, with a stand-alone story that will appeal to X-philes and newcomers alike. Chris Carter (director and co-creator) and Frank Spotnitz (co-writer) have revisited the show without trying to reinvent it. A defrocked priest (Billy Connolly) is having visions of an abducted woman, and the FBI asks retired agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) to bring back Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) for one last case. The chemistry between Scully and Mulder is still there, and it’s the old story of tension between belief and scepticism, faith and science. Throw in some red herrings, a few surprises and a truly ghoulish outcome and you have a perfect addition to the X-Files legacy. (Lachlan Jobbins)
