THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS

THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS

Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger are back at the Royal Botanic Gardens this summer in The Wind in the Willows, Kenneth Grahame’s much loved classic children’s story. Come prepared with a picnic and watch out for the Head Chief Rabbit, who’ll transform the audience into rabbits with a waggle of the ears and a wiggle of the nose. The cast encourage lots of audience participation so don’t be surprised if you find yourself yelling at a weasel. Mr Toad is as crazy as he ever was, Badger is still wise, and the story is as always a rollicking adventure. Sitting under the stars in the garden you might just think for a moment that you’re down by the magical riverbank of the Thames. An endearing and enchanting production with lots of laugh out loud moments for the kids.

Until Jan 27, Royal Botanic Garden, enter via any gate and make your way to the Harbour side of the Main Pond, $25-90 (family), 1300 122 344, shakespeareaustralia.com.au
