The Wedding Ringer
If the silly season has left you a shell of a person and you’re after a bit of a laugh, you’ll get it in spades with this brilliant comedy starring the always-funny Kevin Hart.
Doug (Josh Gad) is a loner with no friends, who’s getting married in two weeks’ time to a girl way out of his league. The only problem? He doesn’t have any groomsmen. Cue Jimmy (Kevin Hart) who runs Best Man, Inc. – a service for those grooms-to-be that are challenged in the friend department. Doug hires Jimmy to be his best man, and entertaining antics ensue.
Kevin Hart and Josh Gad play well off each other and the diverse cast (including The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and hilarious bachelor party scenes raise this comedy above the rest. (LS)
