The sweet smell of indulgence

The sweet smell of indulgence

It may be the largest ever coffee fair in the southern hemisphere, but the Aroma Festival offers more than just a fresh brew.
While coffee connoisseurs can spend the day sampling some of Australia’s finest blends for just $1 a cup, those with a sweeter tooth can travel down Chocolatiers’ Boulevard for a chocolate fix or visit Campbells Cove for All Things Nice.
You’ll find mouth-watering treats from handmade truffles to warm liquid shots of chocolate and traditional rocky road.
Further down the track is an abundance of fudge, nougat and toffee, classic gingerbread, coconut ice, biscotti and all things honey ? not to mention cupcakes to-die-for, which the whole family can enjoy.
George Street will also play host to Teas of the World, presenting caffeine in a different light. You can try some of the more traditional blends, or take a risk and sample more exotic brews like organic chai, or green teas with fruity infusions.
But if you just can’t avoid that coffee hit, then be sure to head to First Fleet Park for an entertaining afternoon.
This year’s Aroma Festival will be open from 10am to 5pm on Sunday July 6 at The Rocks.
