THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT

THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT

“Forget glass slippers and pumpkins. Think hot rock ‘n’ roll, blues and show tunes,” says Australia’s goddess of rock and ex-Machine Gun Fellatio front woman Christa Hughes about The Stroke of Midnight.

When the clock strikes midnight Hughes will belt out a moreish medley of risqué cover songs and bawdy blues numbers in this tantalising cabaret variety show.

“I really want to make sure the spots I do both complement and contrast each other and show my range,” continues headlining chanteuse Hughes.

The performance artists, dancers and live musicians also joining Hughes on stage include electric violinist Jane Cho as well as Sydney Dance Company’s Sally Hare and Heath Keating with choreography by tap dance legend Christopher Horsey.

The Stroke of Midnight, with its raunchy acts, is shaping up to be a cabaret ‘stroke of luck’ providing a midnight variety show with something for everyone to savour into the early hours of the morning.
