Following last years success, Sydney Streets festival returns to multiple locations across the City of Sydney LGA this September, October and November.

Sydney Streets brings together local community vendors to provide market stalls, entertainment and dining experiences. Initially as part of the Council’s Covid community recovery plan, the festival aims to continue boosting local businesses and bring communities together.

“This spring, we’ll once again transform high streets across the city into spaces for walking, shopping, dining and entertainment,” says Lord Mayor Clover Moore.

“Along with our ongoing outdoor dining program, Sydney Streets has been instrumental in supporting the economic and social recovery of businesses and local communities impacted by the pandemic.”

“The programs have also been beneficial in helping us work with local businesses in the production of the events including Indigenous company Boomerang Batteries who we’ve contracted to install the seating and other event infrastructure,” Moore continues.

Selected streets will be closed on their respective weekends, in order for people to wander along the street. Visitors will be able to enjoy alfresco dining, pop-up business stalls, and mobile live music and entertainment.

Each Street Festival location is expected to bring a variety of local businesses and entertainment, making each unique to each other. The Festival street locations include:

– Redfern Street (September 23), Redfern.
– Hay Street (September 30), Haymarket.
– Glebe Point Road (October 14), Glebe.
– Stanley Street (October 21), Darlinghurst.
– Crown Street (November 4), Surry Hills.
– Harris Street (November 11), Pyrmont.
– Macleay Street (November 18), Potts Point.

Each of the markets start at 11am till 10pm. Streets are fully accessible and are dog-friendly.
