The man has been identified as Dick Caine, a former Olympic swimming coach who was said to be training the girls at a swim school in Carss Park at the time of the abuse.
“We will allege [Dick Caine] was the coach of the young girls at the time of the alleged offending,” Acting Superintendent Chris Nicholson said in a statement to the media.

Caine has been charged six counts of carnal knowledge teacher of girl aged 10-17, and the other three assault female and commit act of indecency, aged between 14-16. He was taken to Bankstown police station, and has been refused bail.
The investigation into the assault began in January of 2021, when police officers at the Kings Cross Police Area Command were alerted about alleged abuse against one young girl, and formed Strike Team Coco to investigate the claims.
NSW Police say that following investigation by the strike force, more information on another alleged abuse was found. The investigations by Strike Force Coco are ongoing, police say.
