Adding to the excitement, the Sydney Chamber Choir is delighted to welcome back Naomi Crellin, who will co-direct the event alongside Artistic Director Sam Allchurch.

An integral part of the Sydney Chamber Choir, Naomi Crellin brings her immense talent and expertise to the co-directorship of Fireside. With a strong background in classical, jazz, and contemporary voice, she has played a pivotal role in the choir’s repertoire through her writing and arranging.

She and the choir will be joined by a jazz trio led by the renowned Kevin Hunt, creating a fusion of choral and jazz music. The program will showcase Crellin’s exceptional arrangements of popular favourites like “La vie en rose,” “Norwegian Wood,” and “It’s Oh So Quiet,” the latter originally performed by Icelandic pop icon Björk.

The program features a diverse range of musical pieces, including René Clausen’s soul-stirring “Tonight Eternity Alone,” Jan Sandström’s lush double-choir setting of “Lo, how a rose e’er blooming,” and Ruth Moody’s beloved anthem “One Voice” in a glorious a cappella arrangement.
