If the thought of being taught by award-winning actors, directors, and casting consultants sends shivers down your spine, then look no further. Screenwise provides specialist, career-focused training in acting for both film and television.
Overseen by the popular Australian entertainer Denise Roberts, the teaching staff includes professional actors and prominent reputable directors and casting consultants who are currently employed in the industry.
And to get a taste of it all, auditions are about to open for the 12-month Showreel Course beginning in July. The course runs two classes per week over four, ten-week terms and has produced some of Australia’s most popular up-and-coming stars ‘ including Christian Clark who has just completed his fifth feature film since graduating in 2006; and 2007 graduate Tabrett Bethell who has just completed the lead role in the feature film ‘Freestyle’ with Socrates Otto.
Screenwise also offers two-year intensive programs, master intensives, pro workshops and six-week short-term courses.
The Acting for Beginners Course is also extremely popular, and doesn’t require an audition. Classes are held either on Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings, and is specifically designed for those people who are desperate to have a go but never had the time or the courage to do something about it.
