SIGUR ROS’ INNI

SIGUR ROS’ INNI

Inscrutable Icelandic band Sigur Ros can divide the crowds with their rhapsodic, keening post-rock sound. Is it indulgent navel-gazing or ingenious noodling? Either way, they’ve carved out a niche all their own and in the footsteps of their 2007 tour-documentary Heima comes Inni, shot over two nights at the Alexandra Palace in London. Filmed entirely in black-and-white the 16mm footage has then been filmed again, at times through prisms and other found objects. The end result is eerie, mesmerising, and unabashedly Sigur Ros. (AB)
