SEMI-PERMANENT

Design conference, Semi-Permanent, is back for a weekend of fun, insightful industry talks.  This year, the guys from graphic design studio, Design is Kinky, have lined up speakers from  film, the arts, publishing, web design, animation, graffiti, motion graphics and of course graphic design. While the talks are key, the guys are mixing it up with a host of side events which include exhibitions, competitions, workshops and parties.  This totally talent-inspired two-days, brings together the best from home and away.  Industry heavy-weights include Sydney based author, triple j personality and artistic all-rounder, Craig Schuftan. Crossing the pacific, are US artists, collaborators and zinesters, Travis Millard and Mel Kadel. Thrown into the mix: award winning photo-journalist, Ashley Gilberston;  influential graphic artist, Jasper Goodall; sculptor, artist and photographer, Jill Greenberg;  US designer, illustrator and typographer, Jessica Hische;  artist, art director and member of the The Glue Society, James Dive; and plenty, plenty more! If you are looking to get your designer groove on, Semi-Permanent is the place to do it.
