ROCKWIZ – THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM

ROCKWIZ – THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM

Too late for Christmas? No way! Get this album really really early for next year. Now surely by this stage you don’t want to see any tinsel and are just horrified by the thought of any more ham. Even though you may have gift vouchers galore, the thought of venturing back to the shops is just chilling. The last thing you want to hear is a Christmas Carol, Right? This isn’t exactly the local Salvo Army or Bing Crosby stuff. This album is a compilation of the two Rockwiz (the SBS musical quiz trivia show with critically acclaimed  accomplished musician guests. But you knew that.) Christmas concerts held in 2007 & 2009 not at the iconic Melbourne rock venue The Esplanade but at the more highbrow venue of the Palais Theatre. Most of the tracks are a little left of centre and there is no Silent Night or Jingle Bells. The only cliche to be heard is the Little Drummer Boy. It does include not only one of the greatest Australian Christmas sons but one of the Greatest Australian Songs How To Make Gravy by its Author Paul Kelly , his nephew Dan and Ashley Naylor. Other contributors include Tex Perkins, Tim Freedman, Joe Camilleri, Kasey Chambers and way too many more to mention. Have a Merry Christmas. Any time of year.
