Return to Rio

The Del Rio Riverside Resort in The Hawkesbury River saw the cream of Sydney’s party scene revel in a magical world of wonder at the much anticipated second installment of Return to Rio last weekend.  Along with three epic stages of music, a pumping pool party and Australia’s most colourful fancy dress party, Riopians came together to indulge in one of the hottest line-ups of local and international acts that dance music has to offer.

Ricky Cooper, Return to Rio Promoter comments:

“Round two of Return to Rio was a thundering success and bigger than we could have ever hoped for. With unrivalled artists such as Ten WallsLaura Jones and Mr C on the bill we knew it was going to be huge but thanks to all the fun-loving Riopians in attendance we were able to top last years efforts ten-fold.”

Riopians were also treated to some exclusive news over the weekend with the first announcement of the ultimate summer closing party, as Return to Rio returns again this March 20-22 2015, for two days and three nights of fun.

Usually tight-lipped about their line-up, Return to Rio decided to surprise Riopians with a teaser of acts set to blaze up the Del Rio Riverside Resort next March Get Physical’s M.A.N.D.Y will be keeping the crowds dancing as the headliners for the ultimate weekend away.

Drum and bass pioneer LTJ Bukem will also be taking to the stage. After building up a huge following with his track Horizons’ in 1995 and the Promised Land Series, he has been taking his unmistakable jazzy and atmospheric sound to dance floors across the globe, now this ground breaking DJ, inspirational musician, record label entrepreneur and club visionary is heading to Australia for Return to Rio.

Club scene royalty Brandon Block is sure to cause havoc on the Rio stage as he makes his debut in Wisemans Ferry.  Brandon got his start at iconic London venues such as Ministry of Sound and Miss Moneypenny’s and quickly earned his legendary status as one of the first ever residents of the Space terrace in Ibiza.

Rounding off the first announcement is Uruguay born Guti. One of the most eager and interesting producers of the Latin-American house music scene, Guti will be playing a live set and has worked with the likes of Defected.
