From red frocks and feathers in their mouths to the last year’s hiatus hatching babies and getting hitched, dance collective The Fondue Set (Jane McKernan, Elizabeth Ryan, and Emma Saunders) are perfectly primed to take a step back and reflect on their shared ten-year anniversary. It’s a career full of meaty bits worth covering in celebratory chocolate: Soft Cheese (2001); Blue Moves (2003); Love and Other Indoor Sports for the Melbourne International Festival (2003); a performance at the Japan Australia Dance Exchange in Osaka in 2006; a specially commissioned show, The Lorrae Desmond Show as part of ABC’s 50th Anniversary and the 2008 Sydney Festival; and a Green Room award for their No Success Like Failure (2008); amongst many other highlights including guest spots on Paul McDermott’s TV program Sideshow.
