RAINY DAY WOMEN – FRIENDS
If Friends is anything to go by then Fremantle’s Rainy Day Women are a pretty amiable bunch of lads. Their indie-pop stylings are seemingly inspired by Indian Ocean sunsets and holding your sweetheart’s books on the walk home from after-school gatherings at Port Beach. Friends sometimes borders on the sickeningly sweet but by golly can they write a hook. Don’t blame me if you get the single Runaway stuck in your head, or any of the other tracks here for that matter.
