Protest for Syria on Bondi Beach

A small group of Syrian Australians and their friends and supporters held a vigil on Bondi Beach on the night of May 23.

The vigil was part of a silent protest held worldwide to remember the more than 1000 people who have been killed and the 10,000 plus political prisoners arrested since protests broke out in what is now known as the Arab Spring.

The protesters lit candles to spell the word SYRIA on the steps in front of Bondi’s surf patrol tower.
