Pyrmont Community Group’s annual fundraising event will help support work done in the local area by showcasing an array of unique gifts to purchase.

The Pop Up Shop, run by the group, is located at 85 Point Street Pyrmont, and will run from November 25 – 28 and December 2 – 5.

President Jean Stuart said the Pop Up Shop is a great way to support the work they will continue into the New Year.

“We are always in the red months before Christmas, so the Pop Up Shop is very important to us,” she said.

Gifts include a selection of prints by renowned artist, Elisabeth Cummings and aboriginal prints from the Central Dessert artists of Papunya Tiupi.

The group has been successful this year, seeing two of their major projects come to fruition.

They helped save four historic terrace houses in Union Square from demolition and completed Annandale North Public’s new school hall.

“[Next year] we will support passive boating, like the Chinese Dragon boats, and campaign against the removal of the Heritage Fleet from Rozelle Bay,” she said.
