Police have called for the assistance of witnesses or dashcam footage after a four-vehicle Inner West crash on Saturday morning took the life of a 19-year-old man.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Coronation Parade and Wynnstay Avenue in Enfield at about 9:40 on Saturday morning after reports that two north-bound and two south-bound vehicles had collided.
The 19-year-old Blakehurst man driving a Volkswagen Polo hatchback was involved in a crash with three other cars, and was unable to be revived and died at the scene.
The drivers of the three other vehicles, an SUV, sedan and utility, as well as the eight-year-old passenger of the SUV, were taken to hospital, with all drivers undergoing mandatory testing.
Police requesting dashcam footage, witnesses of Inner West crash
Investigators have said that they are especially interested in sourcing dashcam or mobile phone footage relevant to the incident, including the minutes leading up to the impact, with officers attached to the Crime Investigations Unit believing that there are numerous people who may have information crucial to their inquiries.
Anyone who can assist and hasn’t spoken to the police has been urged by NSW Police to contact Crime Stoppers. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
