THE disappearance of a Vietnamese man, missing since mid-May, is being treated as suspicious.
Bach Quyen Nguyen, an Australian citizen, was last seen leaving his home in Waterloo on Sunday May 18. His sister reported him missing three days later, on Wednesday May 21.
The day after he was reported missing, Mr Nguyen’s Toyota Rav4 (registration VQN-888) was found by police abandoned in Melia Way, Macquarie Fields, and seized for forensic examination.
He has been living in Sydney for almost eight years and runs a money transfer business.
The 29-year-old is described as being 167cm tall, with a medium build and olive complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.
The Asian Crime Squad is investigating. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

THREE men, one armed with a firearm and another armed with a pool cue, robbed the White Horse Hotel on the Princes Highway, St Peters about 12.15am last Sunday.
The group approached the manager and demanded cash, before stealing a handbag from a patron, and fleeing the scene along Victoria Street. The three offenders are described as having a dark complexion, about 170-175cm tall, medium to skinny build, and all wearing either balaclavas or bandanas.

A 22-year-old woman had to be rescued from an air-conditioning vent at the Sydney Police Centre on June 12.
The woman was being transported from Central Local Court to the Sydney Police Centre at Surry Hills after bail was refused for an unrelated incident.
The woman climbed inside the air duct of an air conditioning vent, where she became wedged. She was freed from the vent after an hour
by the Police Rescue Squad and was transferred into police custody.
She was charged with escape lawful custody, was bail refused, and is before the courts.

POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery at an Erskineville bowling club on Wednesday June 11.
Detectives have been told two men entered the club in Fox Street around 10.30pm and produced a firearm, demanding cash from the two staff members present.
It’s believed two further men involved were waiting outside the club while the incident took place.
Neither of the staff members were harmed, however the four men escaped with an amount of cash and one staff member’s handbag, fleeing in a vehicle which was parked in nearby Ashmore Street.
Police wish to speak to four men all described as Aboriginal in appearance. Anyone who has information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A MAN was arrested at Surry Hills in possession of a machine gun on Monday June 9.
Police spotted the 30-year-old man acting suspiciously in a laneway next to a nightclub on Oxford Street.
Officers discovered a semi-automatic machine gun along with a magazine with 32 rounds inside his carry bag.
The Kellyville man was arrested and charged with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, possess firearm and other firearm related offences. He is now before the courts.
