Pole poster of the week

Ah, this campaign poster for editorship of Honi Soit at Sydney Uni took me back to my days running the same campaign in 1974. Our team won, foreshadowing a stand-out year. The rules were that no money could be spent on the campaign, so we were limited to chalking on pavements and running around at night removing still-wet posters put up by our cheating opposition.

This current poster, just by Redfern station, also sports a quality graffito. The policy-free poster  reads “Your content here”. A graffitist has obliged, writing “Forget voting DIY”, signing off with an Anarchy symbol. The more things change… MG
