Playing the blues

Texas blues man Eugene Hideaway Bridges will appear at the Coogee Diggers club on March 19.

The singer, songwriter and guitarist has made Australia his second home, having first toured here in the late 1990s and since played hundreds of shows in every state and in almost every town.

What makes Bridges unique, apart from his soul drenched vocals and blazing guitar work, is that he is the real deal, with a background in soul and gospel that gives his music a powerful impact.

He returns to Australia with a new album, Live From San Antonio recorded at Chango’s Havana Club in San Antonio Texas, and great new songs – a blend of classic down home blues, Southern soul and jumping R’n’B.
