PINK PANTHER 2
A sequel to the much-revived Pink Panther series, it traverses the terrain already covered on earlier installments (not to mention that Steve Martin hams it up as the same wild and crazy guy synonymous with most of his films,) rendering this movie redundant. Martin again plays Inspector Clouseau, a parking inspector assigned to solve the case involving international thief, The Tornado. He is assisted by a “Dream Team” of experts, a star-studded group including Alfred Molina, Andy Garcia and John Cleese, among others. But ultimately it is a comedy flick filled with physical and slapstick jokes and atrocious accents obviously pitched at younger audiences. However, with its prevalence of sexual innuendo and racist commentary by Clouseau, it leaves a bad aftertaste.
