The local icon, located at 160 St John’s Rd, officially reopened on Saturday at the Glebe Town Hall Open Day and Forest Lodge Village Fair. Its new tenants include the Glebe Early Childhood Health Centre and other community-run organisations, with meeting rooms, art and workshop areas, and other community spaces also provided. Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore said: “The elegant rooms of the hall have played host to social and civic events throughout Glebe’s history … Now that this $6.8 million project is complete, the hall can once again be enjoyed by the community now and into the future.”

Sydney Living in Harmony

Persian martial arts, Chinese and Spanish sweet making and a multilingual ‘poetry slam’ are just some of the events which will take place in Sydney throughout March and April as part of the annual Living in Harmony Festival. At least 28 separate events will take place between now and April 30 as part of the City of Sydney Council-produced event. We have such a rich cultural life – and whether it’s through food, performance or fashion, that’s something we should celebrate.” For details, visit: livinginharmonyfestival.com.au.
