A report will be prepared for the Coroner following the death of a man during the City to Surf fun run between the city and Bondi Beach last weekend.
About 11am on Sunday August 10, a 27-year-old Darlinghurst man collapsed in the vicinity of Campbell Pde, Bondi. Emergency services personnel attempted to revive the man however he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are not considered suspicious.

A 32-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed at Haymarket in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
At about 2am on August 9, a Japanese national was walking home when she was allegedly set upon by two men on Pier Street, Haymarket.
She was hit with a bottle causing a laceration to the rear of her head, as well as receiving facial abrasions. Her handbag and its contents were stolen in the attack.
The woman was discovered by patrolling police who attended to her, before being taken by ambulance to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment. She is in a stable condition.
CCTV footage is being reviewed and the woman is continuing to assist police with their investigation. The men are described as being of Aboriginal appearance. Anyone who may have witnessed the attack is asked to contact City Central Police on 9265 6499 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
