Glebe fair rocks the suburbs

The streets of Glebe were bathed in sunshine for the latest instalment of the annual Glebe fair. An estimated 100,000 Sydneysiders wandered the streets and stalls of Glebe during the event.

Residents angry over Miller’s Point housing sell-off

Millers Point tenants remain angry over the proposed sell-off and redevelopment of public housing in the area.

The Government has already sold 20 properties, two more will be auctioned on December 14 with a further 14 due to be sold on long term leases.

Lord Mayor Clover Moore stated in her e-news she is; “very concerned that the Government may sell more homes, despite past promises that no more sales were planned.”

Man charged over “Chk chk – boom” shooting

Police have charged a man over the shooting of another man outside a Kings Cross nightclub 18 months ago.

The incident received nationwide press when a woman, Claire Werbeloff, claimed to have witnessed the event and provided a false version to police and television cameras, spawning the catchphrase “Chk chk – boom” in the process.
