MOVIE: LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS THE OWLS OF GA’HOOLE

Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga’hoole is the latest animation to hit cinemas across the country. Crafted by the Australian team behind the Oscar winning Happy Feet, the film sees young barn owl Sorren kidnapped; discovering a plan to brainwash owlets into soldiers in the process. This leaves Soren and his new friends with the goal to escape to the island of Ga’Hoole in order to recruit the help of the mythical ‘Guardians.’ While the animation and 3D effects are top notch and the largely Australian voice cast do their jobs well, Legend of the Guardians just seems to lack that Pixar charm. But hey, the kids will love it regardless. (AG)
