What is Movie 43 all about? Even when you see the film, chances are you still won’t really know. It has been billed as, “the biggest cast ever assembled for the most outrageous comedy ever made,” starring more big-name actors than you could poke a poo-covered stick at. Reviews have been generally unkind about this series of interconnected short films from various directors like Peter Farrelly (There’s Something About Mary) and actress/director Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games). The humour is potty, the storylines are ridiculous, and it plays more like an over-the-top pre-recorded sketch show. Despite the absurdity of most of it, there are a tonne of laugh-out-loud-because-you-can’t-possibly-cringe-anymore moments that make you wonder if Hollywood finally broke itself.
