MEGAN WASHINGTON

The Winter Wonderland series at the Sydney Opera House provides at least some respite from the freezing evenings as it showcases some fine local and international talent.

Melbourne resident Megan Washington writes songs with a maturity that belies her 21 years.  Classically trained and immeasurably talented, Washington has worked with some leading names in Australian jazz and indie music.  Following the debut of her first single, the triple j and community radio-endorsed ‘Clementine’, and off the back of tours with Tim Finn and Camille, Washington’s brand of gorgeous folk-pop is sure to win hearts when she performs in the intimate setting of the Studio.

The Winter Wonderland series also features the sultry, sexy swagger of Dan Sultan; the godfathers of the alternative cabaret movement, The Tiger Lillies; Ireland ’s leading jazz and blues singer, Mary Coughlan – and many more.
