Marathon runner aims for London

Clovelly resident Harry Summers, 20, may be competing at next year’s London Olympics. Before he overcomes that specific hurdle, however, Harry has high hopes he will take out the top spot at the Sydney Half Marathon on Sunday May 15.

Aged just 19, last year Harry took out second place in the Half Marathon, and this year has no doubt he will take out the top spot.

Harry will be one of an anticipated 12,000 people who will weave their way along the 21km course on Sunday May 15. The new course, which coincides with the event’s 20th anniversary, follows 12 months of planning and will see participants weave their way around major Sydney landmarks from St Mary’s Cathedral to Parliament House, The Rocks, and extending into Pyrmont, under the Harbour Bridge, Royal Botanic Gardens and finishing in Hyde Park near the Archibald Fountain.
