One-punch attacks

One-punch attacks are a common term for when a person is attacked, often out of the blue, with a single strike to the head that causes unconsciousness or head trauma.

Once called ‘king hits’ or ‘coward punches’, the one-punch attacks that occurred in Kings Cross and surrounding areas were the catalyst behind Sydney’s controversial 2014 lockout laws.
