Easy Star Allstars: This New York reggae collective is responsible for some of the most imaginative recreations of classic albums ever. Beginning with Dub Side of the Moon, a dub/reggae homage to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, they’ve re-imagined the Beatles’ Sgt Peppers, Michael Jackson’s Thriller and even Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood admitted that Easy Star’s version of OK Computer was “truly astounding”.

Madlib: The mad scientist of hip-hop is coming and he’s undoubtedly bringing along a crate of big beat gems that he’s whisked from an obscure underground bunker of long lost records somewhere. Under a swathe of pseudonyms he’s released music with Erykah Badu, MF Doom, the late great J Dilla, and his own split personality Quasimoto. The man has been involved with so many album releases either solo or collaboratively and it’s all reportedly because he is unable to sleep more than three hours a night.

Charlie Musselwhite: One of the greats of the Mississippi delta blues, the harmonica player has played with some of the greatest blues names to be bandied about. The man can count Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf as close friends and John Lee Hooker as the best man at his wedding. But not just that, he’s also played amongst them as well as contributing his abilities to recordings by Tom Waits, Eddie Vedder and Ben Harper. Combine the man’s worldly wisdom, imparted in his singing, along with some scintillating harmonica and blues guitar playing and you’ve got yourself a unique opportunity to peep into the soul of the Mississippi.

Mark Seymour: This singer/songwriter is most popularly known as the passionate fronter for iconic Australian group Hunters & Collectors, although over the space of 15 years (including while he was with H&C) he’s released seven solo records as well as contributing music to film scores and theatrical performances. The prolific songwriter therefore has plenty to draw from including songs from the 2011 release Undertow.
Sun, Oct 28th, The Vanguard
Lighthouse Trio: The exciting jazz trio has regrouped in their original line-up after a couple of years exploring solo careers. Saxophonist Tim Garland, pianist Gwylim Simcock and percussionist Asaf Sirkis are all renowned for their compositional prowess as well as their individual virtuosity and the spontaneity of their live interactions has been praised for being nothing less than emphatic.
