Light rail extension approved
Minister for Planning Tony Kelly has announced planning approval has been granted for the construction of the Inner West Light Rail Extension and GreenWay.
The approval means design and construction work will start this year, with operations due to begin in 2012.
The first phase in the delivery of the project will be the design and construction of the GreenWay from Marion Street, Leichhardt to the existing bike network at Lilyfield Road.
