LAVAZZA ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL

LAVAZZA ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL

From its humble beginnings back in 2000, the annual Lavazza Italian Film Festival has grown from a handful of film screenings in Sydney and Melbourne, to a fully-fledged national film festival. Now in its 10th season, the festival is a brilliant collection of Italy’s most highly acclaimed and multi-award winning contemporary films, sourced from Cannes, Berlin, Rome and Venice film festivals. Highlights include The 1000-Euro Generation, a romantic comedy/drama tailored for the maturing Gen Ys, and Brave Men, a small-town Mafioso tale with a dark feminine edge. A must for all Australians, Italo-Australians, Italophiles and cinephiles alike.

Sept 23-Oct 12, Palace Cinemas Academy, Norton & Verona, $14-55 (opening night), 1300 306 776 or boxoffice.mca-tix.com.au
