Located within the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct on Hickson Road, Sydney Festival’s Thirsty Mile offers an
array of late night – and one early morning – gatherings.

At the Moonshine Bar on Pier 2/3, Sudanese artist Azzam Mohamed’s “Sculptured Riddims” dancers
perform alongside British sculptor Michaels Shaw’s inflatable work “Hi-Vis” over three curated nights:
($29): Disco House (January 11), Street Fusion (January 18) and Can You Afro? (January 26).

Additional dance events with genre-specific music at the Moonshine include Astral People, with two
nights of electronic music (January 13 and 20), underground music presenter WavyLand with Mancunian Ezekiel and others (January 12), and queer art-techno Control’s “Euphoria” (January 19) with “techno-pop princess” Sam Quealy and more acts TBA (all shows $49).

For all-nighters or early-risers, Sunrise Yoga, at the bewildering-for-everybody time of 6:30 am, offers
Wednesday and Saturday meditation and breathwork ($10) through the festival at Wharf 4/5, each
featuring a chakra. Find your Third Eye (one way or another) with yoga teacher Jazz Luna leading the
sunrise greeting accompanied by celestial DJ beats.
