JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is the sequel to Journey To The Centre Of The World and finds Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson attempting to bond with his son-in-law, Sean, on a trip to find Sean’s grandfather (Michael Caine) on the eponymous ‘mysterious island’. Alongside Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens) and her father, they step onto shore, and immediately get much more than they bargained for as small animals become super-sized and vice versa. With the clock ticking on the rising tides – threatening to plunge the whole island underwater – the rest is a fairly predictable race against time to find the grandfather and escape intact. And along the way, surprise surprise, young love blooms between Sean and Kailani. Not the most original story however great casting and CGI make it fun for all the family. (PS) ***
