JOE BONAMASSA – DRIVING TOWARDS THE DAYLIGHT

Joe Bonamassa is a charismatic, young American rocker with talent well beyond his years. He’s been playing guitar since he was a kid, when his parents owned a guitar shop and growing up he was considered a child prodigy with an axe in his hands, even hailed as “one of a kind” by blues legend B.B King.

His recent sound has been likened to Eric Clapton but over his 20 years in the industry Bonamassa has carved out a reputation as the modern face of blues-rock all over the world.

This latest album starts with the electrifying Dislocated Boy, introducing the listener to Bonamassa’s soulful, sexy, lyrical styling accompanied by his trademark bluesy guitar riffs. Title track, Driving Towards The Daylight, slows the tempo down a notch and showcases some of the best lyrics on the album; the music solely driven by Bonamassa’s powerful singing voice. A Place In My Heart is one of the longest songs but the extended guitar solos are enthralling enough to warrant it.

Joe Bonamassa is one talented musician and Driving Towards The Daylight hits all the right notes.
