JEWISH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
From a dark comedy about a Jewish woman looking for love in all the wrong places (Dorfman) to Hitler’s Children, which looks at the traumatised lives of the descendants of infamous Nazis such as Goering, Himmler and Hoess, this year’s Jewish Film Festival has something for everyone.
Says Festival Director Eddie Tamir, “I’m delighted to build upon the Festival’s proud history by screening films that celebrate the global Jewish experience in all its diversity and rich ethnicity.”
A highlight of this year would have to be Six Million and One (pictured), a film by David Fisher about a visit he takes with his siblings to the concentration camp his father was housed in, and the impact of this visit on their lives. Powerful and arresting, this is one of the most intense films of the festival, while on the lighter side we get to follow a young woman asking Would You Have Sex With an Arab? throughout the bars of Tel Aviv.
