JACK REACHER

This film adaptation of Lee Child’s novel One Shot is a classic thriller, as Tom Cruise goes head-to-head with a sniper who has caused havoc in Pittsburgh in what seems a random shooting of five innocent people. The police think it’s an open and shut case, but all is not as it seems.

Jack Reacher is action-packed, with car chases and fight scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat. The film twists and turns but does so with surprising moments of humour.

The on-screen chemistry between Tom Cruise and Rosamund Pike’s characters is electric, taking the heat up a notch in this gripping film. (LG) ***1/2
