iPhoneography
Sydney-based i-photographers Miranda Douglas and Kerryn Benbow were among eleven international artists to exhibit there work at Australia’s first ‘iPhoneography’ exhibition.
Described by Apple as a “growing global movement”, the photography uses iPhones to shoot and edit the photos using apps.
Benbow says iPhoneography has become a global aesthetic movement following on from the iconic Polaroid and the third wave of Lomography.
“Its instant, light hearted and uses over-saturated colours, off-kilter exposure, blurring, ‘happy accidents’ and alternative film processing apps to create unique and captivating images,” she said.
“Images are either created in a specific app such as the hipstamatic or post edited with an app such as Tiltshift and CinemaFX”.
