Sydneysiders do seem to love a portrait. The Archibald continues to be the hottest date in the exhibition calendar, and in the field of photography Head On is steadily getting bigger. It’s not just about big heads, though – founder and curator Moshe Rosenzveig insists the selection will, “Continue to be based on the power of the photograph rather than the celebrity of either the sitter or photographer,” which means everyone with an eye gets equal look-in on the total prize pot of $40,000.
