Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a video game published by Ubisoft and due for release in May 2012. It is the fourth instalment in the Ghost Recon series, and was announced to be in development by Ubisoft on January 22, 2009.

Ghost Recon is a third person over the shoulder shooter, the game is a more futuristic approach to the series that is known for their advanced weapons and technology like their HUD targeting and tagging ability to tag enemies and follow their routes. One feature that is new to this series is the ability to activate an optical “camo”, a form of active camouflage that will make the player and his team more difficult to see but is not totally invisible, if they run, get too close to an enemy or fire their weapon they will lose the camo.

The player will also have the ability to customise their weapon like never before as they are able to change their triggers, magazine barrels, muzzles and other items. These items are unlocked through the campaign and other challenges. The game also features a cooperative and competitive multiplayer and the campaign can also be played as a co-op rather than just single player. The game is released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Australia on May 24 2012 and on PC on June 14 2012.
